what is boudoir?
The French word Boudoir, historically, stands for the private suite of rooms of a “lady” or upper-class woman, for bathing and dressing, adjacent to her bedchamber, being the female equivalent of the male cabinet. The aim of Boudoir Photographs are to give the opportunity to [mostly] women to have sensual photos of themselves, which are not intended to be seen by a wide audience but rather to remain under the control of the subject.
As the word suggests, Boudoir photography is shot in bedrooms, but it can be shot in other rooms within a home, a studio, or quite often in luxury hotels.

Boudoir photography is an experience that a woman takes a personal trip, or leap of faith you could call it, about love and rediscovering her own beauty. This style has gained popularity because so many women want, and need to feel beautiful and unique in their own way. And what better than a photoshoot that elevates women’s sensuality with class and without falling into the vulgar. Boudoir Photography is all about loving yourself and feeling good in your body. It is distinct from the usual Glamour and Artistic nude styles of photography because Boudoir enhances the sensual side of women rather than the erotic. Pictures taken in a Boudoir style are more suggestive, rather than explicit and typically feature subjects who do not regularly model.

This is the perfect thing for you . The primary goal of a Boudoir photo shoot is rather simple – to make a woman feel beautiful and desirable. These images make the perfect gift for your partner as well and this is why boudoir sessions are often included in engagement or wedding photo shoots.
DO I HAVE TO GET NAKED?
WORRIED ABOUT LOOKING NOTHING LIKE THE GIRLS IN THE PHOTO'S?
"I look nothing like those girls in your photos!"
I can't tell you how often I hear this! At least half of the girls you see have all told me something along the lines of the same thing. Because this is a frequent concern for other Women I felt it was best to address it before booking your session!
My makeup and hair stylist is wonderful at what she does. The Glam process starts with her and ends with me! After my stylist has you looking and feeling your best your photo session will begin. I am highly skilled in posing woman of all sizes in flattering positions. Blemishes including stretch marks can be edited out upon request! I enjoy shooting my Boudoir sessions bright and airy. Because of this, almost all of your flaws have been hidden before the photo's have even left the camera!

I strive to capture the sensuality and mystique of the Boudoir vibe while maintaining our clients' dignity, privacy, and above all, their boundaries.
Clients are the top priority, so if getting completely naked is NOT on their priority list, this will not be an issue! The common misconception is that boudoir photography has to be nude or borderline pornographic. This is not true at all; boudoir photos can range from intimate and sweet to straight-up provocative, depending on the client’s preferences. They can also feature a certain theme, such as the popular pinup or burlesque style, or something more trendy such as the steampunk, cyberpunk, BDSM, or gothic setting. The choices are unlimited and quite fun.
